Jakarta, Mass Transportation, wee need

what time you always wake up then go to your office? how long you spend your waste time on your car, bus, stuff on traffic jam? do you feel tired when arrived on your office? do you arrived at home at night?

if the unswer dont make you happy, we need mass transportation. so, its a good attitude to wake at 4 am, but we have a more "lazy" time if not to hury about our travelling to work office. we can watch the tv, read the morning newspaper, play with our spouse, children. 30 minute is an god time we need to travel to our office. if this time more, what do you feel?

some people like to drive their car than by bus. This attitude, "car culture", is cause many negative aspects. road become crowded and busy, more people like that more car crowded the road.

jakarta is hot, too hot. its not comfortable to drive by bycycle, old bus, by city car. it is the main reason of many people to change attitude to city bus. the other reason, jakarta is not yet safe. they need feel safe. so many people is still use their own car than change to general mass bus like bus way.

but travel by our "new bus", bus way trans jakarta is conrortable. the other benefit traveling by mass trasportation, allows you to be more engaged with things because you are not responsible for the duty of driving. You can use your time to read a book or a magazine, listening to the music, filling cross puzle, etc.

so, its the burden of the goverment of the DKI Jakarta province, built a good macro transportation system. so, we are, the passenger can easily travel by bus, by train, with safe and confortable.

sutiyoso, current gonvernore of DKI Jakarta, is built a mass transportation system name bus way. bus that have its own track. on early launching, this mass transport is protestted by city car driver (pengemudi angkutan kota) who affraid this transport will reduce their income. but, this mass transport is being popular now. thousand passenger is delivered to their office more quick than by city bus.

now, more and more people use this bus to travel the city.

and so, not only busway, but mrt (mass rapid trasnport (train)), re new electric train (KRL). and the important thing is, macro transportation system, one unity in city management. its must done step-by-step. its the responsible of goverment of DKI Jakarta province, and the burden of the next governore.

the next, when monorail ready, when we have subway for MRT, is the busway program is a sutainable program, continouse?

East Timor Election, FRETILIN Takes Early Lead

FRETILIN leading in vote with 29.1% of the vote, followed by Xanana Gusmao's party, the National Congress of East Timor's Reconstruction (CNRT) with 22.5%, the Association of Timorese Democrats-Social Democrat Party (ASDT-PSD) coalition with 16.2%, and the Democratic Party (PD) with 11.6%.

On Saturday (30/06), voters chose between 14 parties competing for control of the 65-seat legislature. Its the first general election to vote parliament members of this country.

The latest news from the Timorese electoral commission (with around 75% of the vote counted) show FRETILIN leading with 29.1% of the vote, followed by Xanana Gusmao's National Congress of East Timor's Reconstruction (CNRT) on 22.5%, the Association of Timorese Democrats-Social Democrat Party (ASDT-PSD) coalition on 16.2%, and the Democratic Party (PD) on 11.6%.

Those numbers are only going to get worse for FRETILIN - their heartland has mostly been counted, while Dili, solid CNRT territory, is less than 50% complete. As for the eventual government, the three large non-FRETILIN parties had agreed before the election to form a united front, so unless there is a dramatic change in the direction of the count, they seem certain to form a coalition government with Gusmao as Prime Minister.

No party was expected to win enough votes to lead the government alone, and coalition negotiations were likely.

"I don't care who wins or loses in this election," said Santino Dare Matias, 62, after attending Sunday mass in this overwhelmingly Roman Catholic state. "Most important for common people like me is peace and security, so we can live our lives without intimidation," as writen by cnn.com.

My Dirty Jakarta

Jakarta is similar with dirty river, spread waste, crowded, traffic jam, air polution, criminal. Not so good city to live in. Jakarta only good for work, make competition. Jakarta is to design not for life but for work.

everyday, tons of carbondioxide, waste, is emited to the atmosphere of jakarta. we, as the citizen of jakarta, have to consume it all.

everyday, thousand of people have to fight with another on going office. its a hard struggle. by bus with dense passenger with bus with bad condition.

to solve the traffic jam, i think, jakarta need mass transportation to carry more people. mass transpotation like jakarta monorail, MRT (Mass Rapid Transport) train like in our neighbour malaysia. with this MRT trasport, going work is not a big problem. it can reduce traffic jam by inviting more people to use mass transsport than their own car.

the tansjakarta project is one choice to reduce traffic jam. the others is develop water transportation like that done at banjir kanal river. right, is dirty river with the a stink smell but slowly and slowly, if the goverment concern to develop this tranpostation, i think citizen will aware to keep river, environtment clean. if people bored with traffic jam, what they will do if there are other better choice?

its seem to late, if we look our neighbour, singapore, malaysia, or thailand, that have early have a mrt system. but, late is better than nothing. so, it a homework for the mext governor of the DKI Jakarta Province, to reduce criminal, traffic jam, make Jakarta Clean, make Jakarta good for living.
